Wow this Fall weather in the Desert is just soooo pleasant, and having 80 degree weather beats 120 degree weather we had back in July any day !! :)

As the weather here has turned nice I have come up with a decision I am juggling back and forth with. You see back a few months ago we got a jogging baby stroller that I have completely enjoy taking my daughter out in 3 to 4 days a week. Its so nice and a very stable, durable device. I will usually run 2 times with her in the Stroller and then another two times I will just go on nice walks around the Santa Rosa Mountains with her in the stroller.

Here is the dilemma: I want to start doing some more rigorous walking and hiking up and about our beautiful landscape here in La Quinta. The Mountains are right beside our house and there are so many hiking trails that my daughter and I could go on. But you cant take the jogging stroller on them because it is composed of pebbles and sand and makes it very hard for a stroller to go on.
I want to get a Backpack that I can put my baby daughter in. We found one at the local Sports Center here in town but it is like $150. I am just debating whether we should put this kind of outlay of money. Especially since we are expecting another girl in February !! :O)

Yes, you heard it right. We are expecting Kenzies little sister to arrive in February of 2010. So stay tuned for more on that.

Anyway, I might just go ahead and get this backpack because it will open up a lot for me and my daughter to do. And it will get her more exposed to being outside and being in different places in nature.

Like I have said before, our family looks like it might be full of women. But my little girls are gonna be outdoor girls and I plan to get them excited about being fit and being outdoor people.

As far as the status of my fitness and weight……well everything is going well. I keep a good balance and strive to always stay on top of staying fit and having effective weight loss.

It is a Lifestyle that you have to adopt if you want to have long term health !!

I found this one problem that many, many people face on a continuing basis when trying to get in shape and lose some belly fat. This is the people that they surround themselves with in Life. I know many times you do not have a choice with your Family and Loved ones. But it is important when trying to lose weight and stay in shape that you hang around others with the same mindset.

I myself have a few friends who have no interest in their diets and take little care of their bodies. They dont exercise or do any active activities. To be honest, I try to minimize the amount of time I spend with these friends. Iam not trying to be mean but I notice when I hang around them too much I also tend to adopt their careless ways. I start to eat atrociously, divulging in many of the junk food that they eat like fast food and french fries. And I start skipping on my exercise regimen. It really turns into a train wreck when I surround myself with these people.

So I highly suggest that you take time out to think about who you hang out with and what are the potential consequences for doing so. I know many will say that you should not be swayed by others and learn self restraint when being in the presence of wreckless people. But sometimes you breakdown when around these people and fall prey to the decadence.

Minimize the encounters with people who are the polar opposite of your Active Lifetstyle. Do not snub them as you should continue to be with them but just remain aware of situations that you do not want to particpate in.

With all this being said, I think that everyone has the capacity to change and to adopt a healthy and active Lifestyle. There is no discrimantion in this area.

So you should never write off people because they might not be living the healthiest life. But rather serve as an inspiration for them by being a good model through your actions and behavior. :)
