I found this one problem that many, many people face on a continuing basis when trying to get in shape and lose some belly fat. This is the people that they surround themselves with in Life. I know many times you do not have a choice with your Family and Loved ones. But it is important when trying to lose weight and stay in shape that you hang around others with the same mindset.

I myself have a few friends who have no interest in their diets and take little care of their bodies. They dont exercise or do any active activities. To be honest, I try to minimize the amount of time I spend with these friends. Iam not trying to be mean but I notice when I hang around them too much I also tend to adopt their careless ways. I start to eat atrociously, divulging in many of the junk food that they eat like fast food and french fries. And I start skipping on my exercise regimen. It really turns into a train wreck when I surround myself with these people.

So I highly suggest that you take time out to think about who you hang out with and what are the potential consequences for doing so. I know many will say that you should not be swayed by others and learn self restraint when being in the presence of wreckless people. But sometimes you breakdown when around these people and fall prey to the decadence.

Minimize the encounters with people who are the polar opposite of your Active Lifetstyle. Do not snub them as you should continue to be with them but just remain aware of situations that you do not want to particpate in.

With all this being said, I think that everyone has the capacity to change and to adopt a healthy and active Lifestyle. There is no discrimantion in this area.

So you should never write off people because they might not be living the healthiest life. But rather serve as an inspiration for them by being a good model through your actions and behavior. :)

Hey everyone, I’m somewhat new to yoga and was just wondering how it affects for my body besides making me more flexible? this website and this yoga site has some great explanations but i’d like to get some feedback from some of you guys. I’m attempting to obtain that cut appearance and a trainer suggested yoga… wtf? does this really make you ripped?

  • Diet and Nutrition is a extremely important part of my diet.

  • Ahh trying to get in shape. One thing I am going to say about that is that it is far easy to keep the weight off then to get back to where you were. believe me

  • I am about 20 pounds overweight, and I am looking to get started on a weight loss program. I want to start by concentrating on diet only, and then add some form of exercise. Since I have gout, it is sometimes painful on my legs to exercise in a traditional manner, so I prefer to stay off my feet. But I still need to get some kind of workout. 2 questions: What kind of diet should I go with? And What kind of low-impact exercise should I get into? Thanks.

I have also found my diet’s success or failure depends a lot on those around me. Support is so important.

  • I agree with what you said. It is a fact that losing weight isn’t easy and you do need the support of people around you. I truly like the way you ended this article with “….serve as an inspiration for them by being a good model through your actions and behavior.” Thanks for sharing!
