Hello guys……….i hope you are having a great 2010 !! Can you believe it is the start of a new decade ?? Where did the last one go to so fast ?? Geesh, you remember Y@K ?? That seems like yesterday.

Anyway, I know many of you are going all out to get in shape and get healthy and slim. Well, that is a good thing but always remember folks that staying slim and healthy is a long term endeavour so please be patient with it !!

Anyway, today I just wanted to briefly go over something that many people have a misconception about. The reason I bring this up is because I was having a conversation with a good friend of mine yesterday, He was talking about how he was trying a new form of weight loss that involved just doing push ups and sit ups and that was it !!

We argued for 30 minutes as he insisted that by doing just the sit ups alone that he would lose the 20 lbs in no time that he wanted so badly to do.

Well, folks I will tell you now that you CANNOT spot reduce weight on your body. You can do all the sit ups you want but if you do not eat right and do not get some cardio in you will NEVER lose any weight.
What will happen is you will have muscles around your Abs but no one will ever see them because of the layer of fat on top of it.

This is the sad reality.

So bottom line: Along with your sit ups you need to incorporate things like running,swimming, biking, hiking, skiing, walking etc… to see any weight reduction.
Of course you need to eat healthy on top of all this !! :)

  • In my opinion lose weight is not too hard once you do the exercises regularly and don’t eat fast food. Unluckily, for some people it’s not easy to do so.

  • Weight Reduction is a beginning to better health. We need sites like this to help get the word out. The US could save millions of dollars if all people began taking care of their own health by eating right and exercising.

  • This post seems to get a great deal of visitors. How do you get traffic to it? It offers a nice individual twist on things. I guess having something authentic or substantial to give info on is the most important factor.
