I know the most recent season of The Biggest Loser has been over with for quite a while. But I saw some re-runs of past seasons for The Biggest Loser, and I have to say that I think this approach for most people is not conducive for losing weight and staying healthy in the Long run.
The premise behind The Biggest Loser is to see who can lose the most weight in a short period of time and do it week after week after week. They do this for a few months to determine the overall Winner. And during this period of time they put 300lb and even 400+ lb people through very, verystrenuous exercises. We are talking about exercises that have literally caused one contestant to have a near heat attack. This 60 something year old man collapsed doing one of these crazy workouts. Luckily, he did recover and was able to live a normal life from last I heard.
Listen guys I have no problems in jump starting your weight loss efforts. One of the Programs we are a part of does this. But have to say it does not include extremelystrenuous exercising but pretty much jump starts your weight loss efforts with an eleven day weight loss eating regimen.
I dont know maybe its me , but getting grossly obese people to workout until they pass out is a bit much for me. And it is not anything I would ever condone.
As I have always said the best way to stay healthy and lose weight is to adopt a long term exercise regimen and a healthy diet that you cancontinue to do for years and years. That is the route that should be taken and that is what we will always stand by on this Site !!
In the end, just use your common sense and I think in the long run you’ll come out ahead and have a healthy and fulfilling Life.
