Hey guys we went back to our Home for a couple of days to check on our house and take care of some business. Wednesday night while I was there  I went running in the Mountains around our home for about a 40 minute run. It was a good evening with a little humidity but I felt really, really strong. I even started sprinting in the last few hundred yards of the run. The desert is usually dry where we live so it was nice to have a little moisture in the air.

Yesterday morning I decided it was too sunny and hot to run so I opted for our Elliptical trainer instead. It has been a long time since I have done the Elliptical. And at first when I got on it, it was hard to get in a rhythm. I was breathing pretty hard. But after a little while I got into a comfortable pace and really had a wonderful workout. I ended up burining over 400 calories in 30 minutes,  and I was sweating like a horse. You know I forgot how good a workout  the Elliptical is.  And after this workout I felt refreshed the whole day and my mind and body was ready to conquer a day of hanging out with my wife and two daughters. :)

I think it is very important (when keeping in shape and fit) to have a structured regimen that you can do day in and day out. But along with this I think it is very important to mix things up a little bit so you keep Life more interesting. Kind of like I did with the Elliptical trainer. Just like anything in Life things can get boring so you guys be sure to switch around your exercises and do different things. One week instead of running go do some swimming. Or instead of working out with free weights do some pushup and situps.

You will find that you will have a regimen that will continue to flourish for the long term if you just mix it up a little  !!
