My wife has been trying to lose weight ,and I have to be honest even with my help and advice she still has had some trouble.

Ive have suggested (with her working out nearly everyday) that we should start a journal of exactly everyone food that she consumes.
And it became obvious that we found a lot of food she ate was
full of fat and high composed carbohydrates.

Now we decided to keep a journal , and she wanted me to keep an eye on everything she eats. We are just starting to see some results from this journal. As she has watched the fat and carbohydrate much more closely.

I would suggest that you keep a strict journal of what you eat, and I think you will be amazed why you are NOT losing weight. Little snacks here and there a few fries at Mcdonalds, Cooking out fatty burgers on the grill etc….well undoubtedly it all adds up.

And no matter how much you exercise and workout if you do not eat a balanced and well portioned diet you just wont lose the weight !! Period !!!

Just remember that a good combination of food consumption, exercise, and a healthy mental and spiritual state is the most paramount way to lose weight.

AUGUST 2011

I do not know what part of the woods many of you readers out there are from but down here in Texas it has been just miserably hot and humid. I am talking about 105 degrees almost everyday this Summer with high humidity.

Like i said a couple of weeks ago I scaled down my training and I am Running 2 to 3  40 minute runs at night and doing 200 push ups everyday along with 240 sit ups.

This time Iam usually around 205 to 210 but I am at a lean and mean 174 lbs. I haven’t been at this weight for nearly 20 years !! So I am completely satisfied with that. Right now because of the weather this is the appropriate schedule for me and it is something I can manage.

My diet has been pretty decent as I concentrate on nuts, fruits and cereal in the morning with just a light lunch. And at night I eat a pretty well portioned dinner with things like green beans, broccoli, Turkey Burgers, green salads, and baked chicken to name a few.

I hope many of you are having a good Summer. I am just hoping Fall is around the corner because it cannot come soon enough ! :)
