This past week and half has been really rough for me !!
Dizziness combined with heart palpitations has put me out of commission as far as exercising is concerned. I also have something wrong with the lower part of my tongue which the doctor said we needed to keep an eye on. When it rains it pours, huh !! :)

I just cannot wait to hit the roads again and start doing my push ups and sit ups on a daily basis.

Also, in the next few weeks I will be buying some dumb bells to help supplement my weight training.

I just cannot stress how important it is for all you guys out there to listen to your bodies and if you do not feel good just let off the ‘ accelerator’ a little bit. And on top of that you may need to consult a doctor to see if there is something serious going on.

Meanwhile, this weekend I will be taking some medium paced walking with my girls in the stroller. Fall has come today in Texas as we get a high of 90 degrees! Pretty cool for here !!

You all have a good weekend with lots of fun!! And be sure to watch what you eat , but if you want a slice of pizza or so, then get one. Just be sure to balance it off with a nice garden salad the next day !! ;)

Its been really a tough time this past week. I haven’t been able to run since last Monday. I have been having dizziness along with heart palpitations which has really bothered me the last few days.

Today I am feeling better. I may go walking later with my wife and two daughters. I also will not do my 250 pushups and situps today and I will just wait and see for Wednesday.

But sometimes you have to learn to take it easy when your body tells you take it easy. If the Palpitations in my heart pick up again I may seek out a Cardiologist to check it out. Hopefully, it is nothing serious.

It is so important to always listen to your body and hear what it is telling you. If you do not , then injury or something serious can occur.

And I think that has been a big part of my entire mantra for this whole blog and that is : Pick a regimen that you can realistically do for many years to come. Think Tortoise not Hare !! :)

I am still looking for Fall as seems to have come down here in Texas a little bit. When October comes around it will be running with my daugters in the stroller every day. I just can’t wait ;)

Anyway, you all keep up the positive energy going out there. Having a healthy and glowing Spirit and Soul is about as important as anything !
All the working out and eating healthy will not mean squat if you do not have a peace of mind !!

I cannot wait till the cooler weather comes down here in Texas. We have had 110 degree weather and it hasn’t let up.

I have been aching to take my two daughters running in their stroller but it is just too hot to do that. Fall can you come sooner than later ??

Anyway, my current workout involves running at night twice a week at 45 minutes at a time. I do this at a pretty swift rate. To supplement my upper body workout I have been doing 260 pushups and 260 situps every other day.

I did finally break the 200 pushup threshold for one continuous set after 4 months of trying to do it :)

I will add back some free weight workouts with dumbells starting next week. I always look forward to getting back into free weight training. Its just in my soul I guess !

My weight has been really pleasing to me as I am staying right around 175 lbs !! For many years leading up to about 6 months ago my weight was always around 205 to 215 lbs.
The reason for this loss of weight is eating a lot of fruits and vegetables like broccoli and apples and oranges along with lean proteins like sirloin steak which I consume at least once a week.

And of course I keep an exercise program that I can realistically do for a long, long time.

I think these two ingredients are a winning choice to Lose Weight and Look Hot and above all that be healthy !!!
